Memorial Day equals grilled sausage and sunblock?
I was in Gettysburg over the weekend, and somehow the fact that it is still May and that I was on a double decker bus made me forget I NEED SUNBLOCK! I had a hat, and actually at one point tried to barter pretzels for sunblock from a biker chick, but to no avail. So now, alas, I have disguisting tan lines of which I am incredibly embarrassed. Everyone at the station has commented on how red I look. Sigh....By the way, a British friend of mine commented on the weirdness of having a holiday to commemorate soldiers who have died protecting the country by eating burned sausages on the lawn and getting sunburned. Sometimes, its a bit tricky to explain the American way.

It's a Matter of Taste!
I had a rather large fight with a friend today about the placement of a female nude sculpture. It is a full frontal nude sculpture seductively posed. His wonderful girlfriend didn't want it in the bedroom (tsk, tsk... no taste whatsoever). My friend, however, thought it was a work of art and I am on his side with this one.…what do you think?

Lost and found and found again!
You know when you're moving and you are unable to find anything and everything had already been unpacked and you just can not find something very important and then all of a sudden....VOILA! You find it and the world becomes a bettter place…however by this point you've renounced all material possessions because it’s just too darn stressful. I think I am about to get a toga and a mountain top, but then all these shoes would be for nothing! <

Girl Scout Cookies
So I read a story on air today about a girl that broke the record for selling girl scout cookies. Believe it or not *I* was the girl scout POSTER girl. Yeah, yeah I know...I sold girl scout cookies. I had two full sashes completely covered with merit badges... they looked like bandoliers, and I wore them crossed like Che Guevera! I guess Scouts HQ never found out about my days playing poker with guys from the air force academy & watching them cut down trees in a national forest for campfire.

Harrison Ford and my new place!
So I went to the movies this weekend to preview the new Indiana Jones flick! And guess whom I brought? My handsome (and yes, single, ladies!) producer, Mike! My review of this latest installment of the Indy franchise will be out this Thursday... so be sure to tune into the Browne Buzz. In the meantime, I am moving into my new apartment and the movers broke some of my stuff, just great! Not happy with that in the least. I love my new place, even with the broken furniture and half open cardboard boxes! I'm sure I will have many new adventures here. I hope to get a photo soon of the view.... I'm right on the Hudson. So romantic at night …

Geraniums and Ironman
My plant lust has been temporarily assuaged: Geraniums,(germania?)& Coleus rule and I even got some rain this morning. I stopped at Home Depot, which had a ton, but the green market had more of a variety and they were fresher...oooeee. Speaking of weekend satisfaction, make sure you see
Ironman. Downey rocks, Jeff has shaved his noggin and Gwyneth looks sweet.

Its time to start my gardening projects!
Well spring has certainly sprung! As a result, in addition to hay fever, I've gotten my annual spring urge to PLANT. I always do it a bit early and end up with tulipsicles I have to replant, but fortunately, this year, my lust was offset by an inability to find flats of anything to plant. Obviously ma nature is messin' with me, but the green market has my back. Beware, this weekend, I am a woman on a mission to get my hands dirty and my deck done. Stay tuned.
