The blog of radio psychologist Dr. Joy Browne, heard on the WOR Radio Network.
I was in Gettysburg over the weekend, and somehow the fact that it is still May and that I was on a double decker bus made me forget I NEED SUNBLOCK! I had a hat, and actually at one point tried to barter pretzels for sunblock from a biker chick, but to no avail. So now, alas, I have disguisting tan lines of which I am incredibly embarrassed. Everyone at the station has commented on how red I look. Sigh....By the way, a British friend of mine commented on the weirdness of having a holiday to commemorate soldiers who have died protecting the country by eating burned sausages on the lawn and getting sunburned. Sometimes, its a bit tricky to explain the American way.
